Job Summary:

Reporting to the President, the Vice President for Enrollment, Planning and Effectiveness (VPEPE) provides direction and leadership for achieving and maintaining the University’s enrollment goals for new and continuing students at all FDU campuses, at all degree levels and for all delivery modes. The VPEPE works closely with the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, to coordinate and improve empirically-based institutional planning, and to assess institutional effectives while promoting a culture of continuous improvement. The VPEPE also provides leadership for a comprehensive brand strategy and manages marketing efforts to implement the strategy.

The VPEPE is responsible for developing and implementing both short- and long-range plans to achieve the University’s undergraduate and graduate enrollment goals (including international student goals) at the University’s campuses in New Jersey, Canada and England; for building collaborative relationships between institutional departments across the University—namely between academic units, domestic and international admissions, financial aid and career development—to better coordinate and focus institutional efforts on a comprehensive student-centered approach to recruitment and retention; for initiating market research to assess the potential of existing and new program initiatives; and for developing brand and market strategies to maximize the success of the University as a whole in a manner that is consistent with its strategic goals.

The VPEPE serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet.

Required Qualifications:

1. Advanced degree required, doctoral degree preferred, with a minimum of five years of senior level experience, including staff supervision and managerial functions in the areas of enrollment management, institutional research and assessment, branding and marketing.

2. Substantial demonstrated experience with both undergraduate and graduate admissions (domestic and international) and financial aid leveraging, with preference given to a private educational experience.

3. Substantial demonstrated experience with institutional effectiveness, including institutional research and assessment; and with institution-wide planning, especially as it relates to maximizing the utilization of resources across a multi-campus university.

4. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing a brand strategy and comprehensive marketing plan.

5. Conversant with computerized systems.

6. Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills.

7. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing a background check and produce a valid Social Security Card.
