Job Summary:

The Director of Student Recruitment, Services and Success reports to the Dean of Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies and is responsible for providing strategic enrollment planning and managing the day-to-day operational protocols for student services with the purpose of providing high quality engagement and support to non-traditional learners. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing sustainable and results-oriented student recruitment and retention efforts for individual programs and Petrocelli College at large to assist them in meeting enrollment and revenue goals. The Director works collaboratively with University Offices including Admissions, Financial Aid, Enrollment Services, Academic Student Services, Student Life, Career Development, and Disability Support Services.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an area related to student services or recruitment; Master’s degree preferred.

2. Five years of progressive experience in student services and recruitment, preferably working with non-traditional students.

3. Experience counseling prospective students to provide a smooth transition from inquiry to enrollment.

4. Experience with best practices in the areas of student recruitment and support.

5. Experience and understanding of the nuances of working with faculty program directors on issues related to the student experience.

6. Experience resolving student issues in a supportive manner.

7. Computer proficiency for data management, spreadsheet and word processing applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with student information systems and customer relationship management systems.

8. Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with staff, faculty, deans and external constituents.

9. Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

10. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

11. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
