Job Summary:

The Assistant Professor at the Florham Campus, International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (ISHTM) reports to the Director of the International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Dean of Petrocelli College. The primary teaching responsibilities consist of graduate and undergraduate courses in hospitality and tourism management. The School offers two bachelor’s degrees, two master’s degrees and a combination BS/MS degree. This is a tenure-track position that requires teaching 12 credit hours of graduate and/or undergraduate coursework per semester, or 24 credits in an academic school year.

Overview of Job Duties:
• Teaching undergraduate and graduate coursework, especially quantitative methodologies
• Curriculum development
• Ability to achieve publications in refereed journals
• Student advisement, mentoring and coaching
• Recruitment and marketing at weekend open house and admitted students day
• Networking with business and academic professionals

Required Qualifications:

1. PhD in hospitality, business, or related field
2. Several years management experience in the hospitality or tourism industry
3. Minimum of three years teaching experience in higher education
4. Record of scholarship and publishing in academic journals (preferred)
5. Marketing abilities that support recruitment and retention strategies
6. Interpersonal skills
7. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
