Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Enrollment and Student Services for the Vancouver Campus, the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services assists in the development, implementation and management of effective services for undergraduate and graduate students related to the operation of Enrollment Services. This position is the lead person managing the day to day operations in the Enrollment Services office and provides direction and training to other staff in the office. In addition to common duties shared by other Enrollment Services staff, this position oversees the areas of bursar billing, collections, financial aid applications and student payment transactions for the Enrollment Services office. The Assistant director also has a key role in the planning and organization of the Commencement Ceremony for the Vancouver Campus.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of equivalent work experience.

2. A minimum of three years progressive experience in Enrollment Services.

3. A minimum of two years of management experience, or has demonstrated the necessary skills to manage during prior work performance as an employee in the Office of Enrollment Services.

4. Ability to accurately handle and account for large sums of money in accordance with University accounting procedures.

5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.

6. Strong computer literacy with both PC and mainframe experience. Datatel experience preferred.

7. Strong problem solving ability, math aptitude and attention to detail.

8. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work accurately with financial records and reconcile discrepancies.

9. Must be willing and able to work overtime, including evenings and weekends.

10. Canadian residency or work permit required.

11. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check.
